TheNecronomi.Com spent four years and 278 episodes making the case that horror is the genre best equipped to talk about the things that actually scare us: race, class, gender, grief, abuse, and everything else polite conversation avoids. Comedy usually gets credit for smuggling in social commentary — James Sabata and Donald Guillory argued horror does it better, by making you sit in the discomfort instead of laughing it off.
Each week, the hosts (joined by an enormous rotating cast of horror authors, filmmakers, and friends of the show) picked a film and took it apart — sometimes a classic, sometimes something nobody else was talking about, occasionally something that had no business being analyzed as seriously as they analyzed it.
The show ended after four years. This site exists so the archive doesn't disappear with it.
James Sabata is a horror author, produced screenwriter, and editor. Donald Guillory is a horror author and editor. Together they hosted and produced the show for its entire run.
